Drive time is usually about 2 hrs except during peak season (summer) which can take a bit longer. The Edmonds ferry is a good option as well as the Bainbridge Ferry from downtown Seattle.
You could also drive south on I-5 from Seattle and either cross the Tacoma Narrows bridge (toll) or continue a bit further south to Olympia to connect to Hwy. 101 going northbound. These options are consistent in travel time regardless of the season averaging about 2-1/2 hrs.
When you turn off Hwy. 101 onto Pleasant Harbor Rd (there’s a log carving at the entrance to your left that says “Cedar Cove”) turn left and just before you loop back to Hwy. 101 turn right down a gravel drive. The waterfront cabin will be on your right with the address “111” mounted on a tree.
